The research questions as formulated in my thesis are largely based on my curiosity to find an answer to the question if photo-ethnography is an acceptable instrument for doing research into business culture and whether or not it is possible to develop a methodology, which is academically acceptable. Based on the described points of interest the following research questions were formulated:

  • Does photo-ethnography as research method allow discovery of new dimensions in researching corporate culture?
  • What is the significance of photographs taken in the workplace for the workers of the organisation and for their awareness of currently prevailing corporate culture?
  • How is photo-ethnography as research method useful in determining corporate culture as seen by the employees?
